Quote of the week: "Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you were going to do, long after the mood you said it in has left you."
This weeks focus is on commitment...not to others, but to ourselves, our routine and our goals.
If we look at our patterns and habits, we'll find that we usually prioritize our commitments to others but negotiate on the commitments we've made to ourselves.
We continue to press snooze on our alarm when we said we'd get up early. Go out for drinks after work instead of recording that video content we promised we'd be serious about. Scroll on social media for hours when we said we wanted to finish a book a month, etc...
Commitment is showing up where you said you'd be, to do what you said you'd do. That means being intentional with your time, completing your to-do list, dusting off your pen to finish writing that book you started...recording that content...grocery shopping so you can avoid dining out, not slacking on your workouts...etc.
Are your commitment issues with yourself preventing you from getting where you said you want to be?
We often say others are sleeping on us and our talents however the real question is, are we sleeping on ourselves?
